With a thin glass of only 2mm, the artist carefully cut this creation into the shape of the cross, highlighting the fine details of the Virgin Mary's face and clothing. The garment, in a delicate shade of cobalt blue, features a subtle range of gradient colors, edged with gold leaf and decorated with an openwork ornament, also covered in gold leaf. The halo, a symbol of holiness, shines thanks to the gold leaf, and red and blue flowers are drawn around the halo, signifying purity and divine love.
